The Georgia Bulldogs welcome in the Troy Trojans in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a noon start time and it will be televised live on the SEC Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Bulldogs favored by more than five touchdowns.
Georgia had a chance to move into the Top 5 last week and get a leg up on a potential playoff spot, but they lost at South Carolina. This game against the Trojans of Troy should be a warmup to next week's battle with Tennessee. Georgia has already played a couple of tough opponents and sits at 1-1, not the worst possible scenario for them. Against an 0-3 Troy team, Georgia should be able to do whatever they want and name the score.
Both the Trojans and Bulldogs are in the positives for turnover differential on the season, making turnovers an even more important part of this game. Georgia won the only meeting between these schools back in 2007, but Troy did hold an offensive yardage advantage over the Bulldogs.
This year's Troy team, however, is just not good. They've lost to UAB, Duke and Abilene Christian on the year, giving up an average of 40 points per game. Offensively they can't score any points as their quarterbacks have combined for just one TD pass this season and the leading rusher has 104 yards through three games.
Hutson Mason should have no problems completing passes in this game while Todd Gurley should have a big game, even if he doesn't play a whole lot of snaps. Georgia has the better defense, better special teams, better offense and will roll in this one.
