The Colorado State Rams hit the road tonight in college football action when they take on the Boise State Broncos. The game is scheduled for a 10:15 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently Boise State is favored to pick up the win here at home.
Boise State dropped their opening game of the season to Ole Miss on a neutral field, but they open their home slate tonight. Colorado State came ready to play in their opener against instate rival Colorado, knocking the Buffaloes off last week. The Rams are drawing some interest in this one as they actually have won this season while the Broncos are 0-1.
But don't look past the important of that blue turf. The Broncos played a lot better last week than the eventual final score, having turned it over too much despite having the football nearly 12 minutes more than Ole Miss. Certainly the Broncos would have had a better effort in practice this week heading into tonight's game.
The Rams trailed for a good chunk of their opening win, but they still found a way to get the job done. They'll have to figure out a way to win tonight and get into the win column against Boise State as the Broncos have picked up wins in all three previous meetings, winning by an average of 30 points.
In this one, look for a solid game between two teams that probably should end up with solid seasons. The Broncos are going to have to be better in the turnover department or they're not going to win here at home. But it's a night atmosphere, with Boise coming off a loss. They should be better prepared for this one and they're not playing an SEC team.
Colorado State is going to be a good football team. They're going to make this game interesting. But in the end, Boise State playing at home is going to be too tough to beat.
