Tapiture is one of the horses that many figured to be in the mix for the 2014 Kentucky Derby. Yet, the current odds for Tapiture have tumbled in the few days since the morning line came out. Originally, the horse was one of the major 2014 Kentucky Derby Contenders. The Kentucky Derby will begin at 6:24pm EST Saturday from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
Current Odds: 38-to-1Morning Line: 15-to-1
When the opening odds for this year's Kentucky Derby were released, Tapiture was drawing right around 25/1 for the race. But since then it has drawn a lot of steam and interest, rising all the way up to 8/1 for the Derby on Friday afternoon, but now the horse has fallen all the way to 38-to-1 odds. This horse has some experience with seven races, winning twice and coming in second place twice as well. Last year at Churchill Downs the horse did get a victory in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club.
Tapiture is a horse with tactical speed and the experience of running at Churchill Downs can't go unnoticed by those looking to get on board with this horse. Both Tapiture, Commanding Curve and Ride On Curlin have made three starts at Churchill Downs.
California Chrome is the legitimate favorite in this race, but there are several horses that can win, Tapiture being at the top of that list, even if it is plummeting in the odds.
