Mountain West Conference Tournament College Basketball Odds

The Mountain West Conference Tournament begins on Wednesday evening in Las Vegas. The Mountain West Conference Tournament Odds have both New Mexico and San Diego State equally favored to win the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This will be the 12th time the Mountain West tournament is being held in Las Vegas since the 2000 season. Based on the popularity and location, we expect the tournament to be held there for a long time. San Diego State won the regular season conference championship when they knocked off New Mexico Saturday night. The Lobos and Aztecs were battling all season for the top slot in the conference tournament. The two teams split this season in their matchups and the third game could come in the conference finals.

The odds, recently released by William Hill in Las Vegas, have both San Diego State and New Mexico as co-favorites and everyone else listed farther below. Please note that "The Field" includes Utah State, Colorado State, Air Force and San Jose State.

Mountain West Tournament Odds:

San Diego State +180, New Mexico +180, UNLV 17/5, Boise State 8/1, Nevada 12/1, Fresno State 40/1, Wyoming 40/1 and "The Field" 15/1.

The tournament will begin Wednesday evening at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on the campus of UNLV. Three games will be played on the opening night with the eighth-seeded Utah State Aggies taking on the ninth-seeded Colorado State Rams, the seventh-seeded Fresno State Bulldogs taking on the 10th-seeded Air Force Falcons in the second game and the nightcap featuring the sixth-seeded Boise State Broncos taking on the 11th-seeded San Jose Spartans.

SDSU is the top seed with New Mexico, Nevada, UNLV and Wyoming being the final seeds in order. UNLV and Wyoming will play in the 4/5 game Thursday afternoon. The finals of the Mountain West Tournament will take place Saturday night live on CBS Sports Network.
