Major League Baseball and Interleague Play continues tonight as the Toronto Blue Jays travel south to take on the Atlanta Braves. The game is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. start time and the odds for the game have the Braves favored by a pretty comfortable margin.

Each of the Major League Baseball clubs are in Interleague action tonight and one of the premier matchups is the Blue Jays and the Braves. There is a lot of star power in this contest but the Blue Jays have struggled out of the game, stumbling to just a 22-30 start to the season. Many thought they would be a potential World Series team this year.

In tonight's game, though, they're probably in a position where they will have a uphill climb. The Atlanta Braves are one of the best teams in baseball at home, going 15-5 this season. Toronto is not a good team on the road, winning just eight of their 22 games away from the Rogers Centre this season.

Kris Medlen (1-5, 3.16 ERA) starts tonight for the Braves. He's been unlucky this season, losing five games but having a very solid ERA. Medlen's average run support of 2.59 per nine innings ranks as one of the lowest in baseball. The Braves have backed him with just three runs over four home starts, during which he's gone 0-2 despite an impressive 2.08 ERA. He's only given up a career high five runs once in his career. Medlen has never pitched against the Blue Jays.

Toronto has gone just 22 for 109 (.202) with runners in scoring position in losing 12 of their last 17 games on the road. They've lost eight of nine games overall in Atlanta.

Toronto has two guys that are seeing the ball very well in sluggers Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista. Encarnacion is clubbing .345 with four homers and 19 RBI over his last 14 games, and Bautista is 17 for his last 33 with three home runs himself.

Esmil Rogers (1-2, 4.56) starts tonight for the Blue Jays. He will be making his first start in nearly two years and in his career has a record of 6-8 with a 6.24 ERA over 22 career starts.

Justin Upton is 5 for 9 with a homer against Rogers in his career. B.J. Upton is 1-for-2 with a home run himself.
