Michigan vs. Ohio State Saturday College Football Start Time, Spread

http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/001/999/199/hi-res-134126196_crop_exact.jpg?w=650&h=440&q=75

It's rivalry weekend in college football and maybe the biggest game on the schedule is Michigan vs. Ohio State. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 pm start time on Saturday and it will be televised nationally on ABC. Currently the spread has Ohio State as a small favorite by a field goal.

The line opened with Ohio State being a favorite of 5 points. Now that has been bet down to 3 points at nearly every major book offering a line on the game. It should come as no surprise that the spread on this game should be hanging around a field goal. Ohio State is undefeated and good, no doubt, but they haven't played a team with a defense as good as Michigan's all season.

Michigan, ranked 19th in the BCS standings, enters the game with an 8-3 record which isn't great, but is still pretty good considering Brady Hoke is only in his second season guiding the Maize and Blue. Last season the Wolverines clearly exceeded expectations and won 11 games, including a victory over Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl. Their three losses this season came over three great teams in Alabama, Notre Dame and Nebraska. Two of those teams could potentially be playing in the national championship game. Many don't like to look at any loss as a "good loss" but Michigan has stood toe to toe with some of the best this season.

Ohio State has had several close calls this season, but comes into Saturday's game unblemished. The Buckeyes carry a No. 4 ranking in the Associated Press poll, which is the only poll that ranks them even though they aren't allowed to play in a bowl game this season. Imagine what could have been, Buckeye fan. Urban Meyer is going to put this school in the right direction and the battles with Michigan over the next 12-15 years are going to be a lot of fun to watch.

It almost feels like that magical dream season for Meyer's team. They won at Michigan State by a point, beat Indiana by a field goal despite giving up 49 points, beat Purdue in overtime and had an emotional road win last week over Wisconsin. How will they be able to respond after a massive win on the road in Madison? Getting up every week has to be hard for a team that can't play in the post season, but Meyer has been able to get his team ready each and every week.

This is part two of a week-long preview leading up to the Michigan vs. Ohio State game on Saturday. On Thursday we will showcase an offense/defense breakdown for both teams heading into the contest. It's the biggest rivalry in sports and Saturday's game should be another classic.
