Oregon State will shoot for 3-0 this evening when it takes on Pac-12 rival Arizona in Tucson. Tonight’s skirmish between the two schools has a scheduled start time of 10:00pm ET; it will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network. Oregon State vs Arizona Odds have the hosting Wildcats listed as a -3 against the spread favorite. This evening’s game total is set at 58.5 points.
The Rich Rodriguez era at Arizona got off to a brilliant start as the team jumped out to a 3-0 start with wins over Toledo, Oklahoma State, and South Carolina State. It came to a crashing halt last weekend, though, as the Wildcats got crushed 49-0 at Oregon.
Certainly the Ducks were the superior squad, but Arizona did itself few favors, turning the ball over five times while converting zero of its four fourth down attempts.
Unfortunately for the Wildcats, it would appear they are set to face another stingy defense in Oregon State. The Beavers stunned Wisconsin in their opener, limiting the Badgers to 207 total yards in a 10-7 win and they followed that performance with a 27-20 road win against a vastly improved UCLA team.
Oregon State held the Bruins potent rushing attack to just 2.6 yards per carry and they yielded just two third down conversions in 16 UCLA attempts.
Arizona will find the end zone tonight, but given the Beavers play through two games, it would be a surprise if they find it with a great deal of frequency.
