The PGA Tour season continues today in a special tournament hosted by Tiger Woods. The AT&T National is held this year at Congressional Country Club
in Bethesda, Maryland. The tournament was been played there the first three years beginning in 2007 prior to being played at Aronimink Golf Club the last two years and has a par of 71 while playing at more than 7,500 yards. The tournament has a total purse of $6,500,000 and American Nick Watney is the defending champion. The AT&T National odds currently has Tiger Woods as the favorite in golf betting for the tournament.

The AT&T National is one of only five tournaments given "invitational" status by the PGA Tour. That means the field will feature just 120 players as Invitational tournaments have smaller fields, giving them more freedom than full-field open tournaments in determining which players are eligible to participate in their event. There are only a handful of invitationals that have the same type of exception that the AT&T National has. The other four tournaments with invitational status are the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Verizon Heritage, the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, and the Memorial Tournament.

Last year Nick Watney won the event by two shots, shooting 13-under par, winning him $1,116,000. No one has won this event more than once as winners include Woods, Justin Rose, Anthony Kim and K.J. Choi. The course this year sports three Par-5s, four Par-3s and 11 Par-4s.

The 2012 AT&T National odds: Tiger Woods 11/2, Hunter Mahan 12/1, Dustin Johnson 15/1, Jim Furyk 15/1, Adam Scott 20/1, Bo Van Pelt 25/1, K.J.
