Analysis:
2** UCLA BRUINS plus the points versus Utah Utes
#397 / 3:30pm ET - 12:30pm PT
PAC 12 Conference
At last look, 80% to 84% of all ‘public action’ in this PAC 12 game was on the host Utah Utes. That;s actually the way that Speedee and his Dawg Pound canines like it. Let the squares have their action on the hosts. We’ll join the minority on the underdog UCLA BRUINS… who are playing with big-time REVENGE from last year’s game. In that meeting. the Bruins started the season with a perfect 4-0 record were ranked #8 in the entire country. They were installed as 13-point home favorites against these Utes. The Bruins were down by 10 points in the third quarter but came all the way back thanks to two 4th quarter TD passes by QB Brett Hundley. They had a late lead in the game but Utah kicked a field goal with 34 seconds left in the game to come away with the shocking outright dog win. That was a game in which the Bruins DOMINATED the Utes statistically, winning by a 406 to 342 yard margin.
So both of these teams are off quite shocking results in their last game. UCLA was a double-digit home favorite against Washington State last week and lost outright by a score of 31 to 27. Utah was a road favorite against Arizona last week, and lost outright in OVERTIME by a score of 37 to 20.
0-6 ATS last three years: All Conference home favorites off a SU conference road FAVORITE loss (Utah) versus any opponent off a SU conference home FAVORITE loss (UCLA).
ATS situations that pertain to this conference (PAC 12) SPECIFICALLY…
0-9 ATS since 1999: All PAC 12 home favorites off a SU fav loss AND a Double-Digit ATS loss (Utah) vs any PAC 12 opponent off a SU fav loss (UCLA).
14-2 ATS since 2003: All PAC 12 road underdogs who were a conference home favorite of -11 > points in their last game… and lost outright (UCLA).
The VISITOR in this series (UCLA) has covered EACH of the last three games…
Utah is not a very profitable team when playing against ‘Revengers’ in this conference.
The UTES are 1-6 ATS in the last four years versus PAC 12 opponents playing with Revenge.
*Don’t forget… Utah’s MAIN MAN… The TOP offensive weapon on the Utes (running back Devontae Booker) tore a meniscus in his knee last week in the loss versus Arizona. He is OUT in this week’s game.
