ATLANTA FALCONS @ NEW YORK GIANTS
2** Play on: OVER THE TOTAL
*Optimum OU line: 51 or less
Game Three: Our third ‘OVER’ of the Sunday Week Two early kickoffs will be played at MetLife stadium as the Giants host the Falcon in their first home game of the year. We’ll take a piece of a high-scoring outcome with New York home games being notoriously HIGH-scoring (against non-division opposition) and Atlanta road games also being notoriously HIGH-scoring. Both of these teams scored 26 points last week. They each had their issues in the Red Zone. Nw York had to settle on three field goals and Atlanta had to settle for four field goals. Hopefully, we’ll be getting our fair share of 7’s (TDs) instead of 3’s (FGs) this week.
To start off our database querying regards to this game, we note that New York was in ‘Big D’ (Dallas) last week, and LOST (late) to their division rivals… NFC CONFERENCE teams who lost on the road to the Dallas Cowboys last week (GIANTS) have home 9-1 O/U since 2011… and a PERFECT 6-0 O/U in the last two seasons. These teams have averaged a very impressive combined total of 64.8 ppg in that next game!
So New York lost last week at Dallas,,, but COVERED the speed… and the game went OVER the Total. OurKing Creole service was fortunate to be on BOTH the Giants plus the points AND the ‘Over’… 7-0 O/U last two years: All NFL teams playing off a SU division road loss BUT an ATS win in a game that also went ‘Over the Total’ (GIANTS). These games have averaged 64.1 points per game!
Yes, this game has a (relatively) high OVER / UNDER line (51 or more points)… NFL Week Two NON-division games with an OU line of 51 < points (GIANTS vs FALCONS) have gone a PERFECT 60 O/U.
This game has a couple (actually three!) of similarities as our first ‘OVER’ (The SF/Pit game). Just like the Niners, ATLANTA is off a non-division home dog win in Week One (over the Eagles. If we are playing one sample,we have to play the other as well... 8-1-1 O/U since 2011: All non-division road teams off a SU non-division home DOG win (ATLANTA) versus any opponent off a SU loss (NY GIANTS).
The other similarity to the Steelers / Niners game has to do with a home team off a Week One loss and the road team off a Week One win… 7-1 O/U since 2010 / 4-0 O/U last 3 years: All GAME TWO non-division home favorites of -2 > points (GIANTS) versus any opponent off a SU win (FALCONS).
And finally, speaking of Monday Night Football home games, we also note that: All NFL non-division road underdogs (FALCONS) off a Monday home game have gone 11-1 O/U in the last three years.
