915 DET (-143) 5Dimes vs 916 TOR
double-dime bet
Analysis:I'm backing the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon. David Price would love to have it written in his contract that he must face the Toronto Blue Jays at least a half-dozen times per season. Price is 15-2 lifetime against the Jays, sporting a 2.31 ERA & 1.04 WHIP, his teams are 17-2 in those outings. His numbers at Rogers Centre are obviously outstanding, also, especially last six starts there. The Jays enter having won just 3 of their last 13 against left-handed starters and they'll likely need to find their bats and score some runs with Mark Beurhle on the mound. The Toronto lefty has truly struggled since early June. He's allowed 16 earned runs and 41 base runners in his last 19 2/3 IP and the Jays opponents have scored 25 runs in his last four home starts. I expect another rough outing for the Toronto hurler in this one. We should also make note of a 47-11 spot backing the Tigers. We go against home underdogs of +125 or higher, provided the home team is batting at least .290 over their previous 20 games and the road pitcher owns a WHIP of 1.00 or lower over his last five starts. The hot pitcher normally shuts down the opposing bats. The 47-11 spot, combines with the 17-2 and 10-3 spots for a 74-16 mark. I'm backing the Tigers, my Afternoon Annihilator on Sunday. Thanks & GL!
