Las Vegas, Nevada (January 14, 2010) – RJ Bell of Pregame.com has uncovered some compelling Las Vegas based stats on this weekend’s Cardinals vs. Saints NFL Playoff game.

57 points combined are expected between Arizona and New Orleans this weekend. That’s the highest expectation in a playoff game since 1989 (the first year reliable data is available).

Combining the spread (Saints -7) and the total, the projected score of Saturday’s game is: Saints 32, Cards 25.

Only SEVEN games in the last 20 years have had a higher expected score. 49ers at Rams in Week 9 of 2000 was the highest at 62 points (58 points were scored).

The previous highest projected playoff game was the Colts at Broncos in 2004. 56 points were projected (73 points were scored).

No game in the entire 1990’s had a projected combined score higher than 54 points.
