WNBA - Minnesota Lynx @ Connecticut Sun

 Last night the Sun scored a 3pt shot on the buzzer to send the game to overtime and unfortunately for us the Liberty won the game by just 2 points, failing to cover the 2.5 points spread. However this fact create us some value for the Lynx today, as Connecticut will play their third game in just 4 days and they are coming from a tough overtime game last night. Also their leading scorer A. Jones is still out and the Sun are in a terrible spot coming for this game. I understand that in the past they were great by playing in adverse situations but they were the underdogs, for this contest we are talking about them being 5 points favorites.

The Lynx meanwhile are falling apart lately, as they are 2-8 SU L10 games and 0-4 in their last 4 games. After a stretch of tough close losses (87-89 vs. San Antonio, 81-91 vs. Indiana and 76-79 @ Chicago), their head coach decided to bench 3 starters in their following game against the Sparks and although the Lynx lost 63-78 that was a good setup for them to be aggressive tonight as those players will likely start tonight. The last Lynx' win was against Connecticut 95-88 and despite having some revenge for the Sun, the Lyxn are a bad matchup for them. The Sun are the worst % FG offense of the league while Minny is a potent offensive powerclub and the Sun already lost against Atlanta, Phoenix and this Minnesota team this year. My real line for this game is an entire possession for Connecticut so we are getting some value with Minnesota in here.

WNBA - 655 Washington Mystics @ 656 Sacramento Monarchs

The Mystics defeated last night Phoenix 91-81 in a huge win for them. Although allowing 81 points doesn?t look like great, the Mystics made an awesome job in the defensive end of the floor. They held the Mercury 10 points below their average with Taurasi and Pondexter shooting a combined of 9-24 from the field. Also the Mercury had 14 assists and 17 turnovers and all the merits go to Washington. In fact in their last 4 games they allowed just 81, 69, 60 and 73 (RT) points and for this contest I expect another good effort from them.

Sacramento meanwhile is 3-1 in their last 4 games and they still have some chances to earn a playoff spot however they can't afford to lose any more games. Last game they defeated the best WNBA team Indiana with an impressive defensive performance! Indiana scored just 62 points while they committed 21 turnovers - 11 of them were from Monarchs' steals and they are more committed in the defensive end. Both teams need badly to win and I expect this game to be an ugly and physical game. These two teams faced each other in late July and the score was 87-73 in a high scoring game with good % FG (Washington shot 50% and Sacramento 46% from the field) however the circumstances for this game are way different and the mind set of both teams are completely different as well. My real line for this game is 145/146 points and that's why I'm taking the under in here.
