Wow...this one is getting ugly real quick. I really didn't expect Gorzelanny to have one of the most ungraceful falls I've seen in awhile and get hurt in the 2nd inning. Although, the mistake I made was going against a Rockies team that has been hitting fairly well in this series. I'm just marking this one down as a loss already.
Chicago Cubs at Colorado 8:05pm EST
Selection: UNDER 9.5 RUNS (L)
Profile: This game features two starting pitchers that will have a great deal of success tonight. Chicago's lefty, Tom Gorzelanny, will get his second start since coming over to the Cubs from the Pirates. He was outstanding in his first start, and I look for him to pitch well tonight. The Rockies have limited experience against him, and he pitched well in his only start at Coors Field two years ago. Gorzelanny also goes deep into games, limiting the effect that the poor Cubs bullpen will have on the game. Meanwhile, Colorado's lefty, Jorge De La Rosa, is coming off of a poor outing against Philadelphia. However, the Phillies have always hit him hard in his career. De La Rosa has been pitching very well this season though, especially at home. Getting this number at 9.5 runs is important because the game can end 5-4, and you'll still get the win. Chicago's best hitter, Aramis Ramirez, is also questionable for this game with a shoulder injury. The Cubs offense is much worse without him in the line-up. Colorado's inexperience against Gorzelanny will make things difficult for them as well. In addition, most sportsbooks have the over listed at -115, but the sportsbook with the sharpest bettors have the over at -105, meaning they don't want to move the number because they are leaning toward the under. Look for this game to fall under the total.
