First off, I don't entirely blame Cam Newton for walking out of his press conference following the Super Bowl loss when most of the questions were of the moronic, "How do you feel," and "Were your prepared for Denver's defense" type of variety.
Of course Newton could have handled them in a classier fashion. But these really were stupid standard questions. How do you think the guy feels when he just lost the biggest game of his life and we know Denver has the best defense in the league. Von Miller is a stud, Wade Phillips is a master defensive coordinator and the Broncos' secondary is top-rate.
The question that should have been asked of Newton is why did he pull back rather than join the scrum when he had a pivotal fumble in the fourth quarter?
My God this is the Super Bowl. How do you not lay out after your own fumble with the game perhaps on the line? John Elway took a double hit airborne to help win a Super Bowl game.
I don't question Cam's toughness or guts. His intelligence may be another matter.
On the handicapping front, a 2-0 Sunday pushed my hot streak to 38-18-1 (68 percent) on my last 57 premium and free plays. I've found a college basketball game today that merits only my third Triple Dime play this month. I also am involved in three NBA games. I have cashed eight of my last 11 college basketball plays and am 23-11 on my last 34 NBA plays. My plays and packages can be found here: /pregamepros/pro-bettor/picks.aspx?id=7746.
Best of luck and no bad beats!
