NFL: Crazy Sunday night capped off another wild Sunday. While entertaining, Sunday night was one of the more poorly coached and called games you'll see this season. Only loss that should matter to the Patriots last night is Gronkowski. Early reports suggest he'll be okay but remember this game, remember this time. If they meet again when it really matters, well, let me just tell you I wouldn't want to be the team wearing the Bronco jersey. Redskins are angry and the Redskins mean business. Vikings defeat Falcons but many are quick to crown them NFC North champs especially when Seattle and Arizona are on deck. Seattle, a team where every game matters for their playoff lives and Arizona (in Arizona), a team with a better offense and defense that can match them toe-to-toe. 8-3 can quickly become 8-5. Andy Reid out coached Rex Ryan and he deserves some props.
With the announcement he will retire at the end of the season, it has been a pleasure to watch Kobe Bryant play basketball, not the one we are watching now but the one who won 5 NBA titles. Over the weekend in the soccer front, Jamie Vardy of Leicester City set a new EPL record for scoring in consecutive matches. He became the first player ever to score a goal in 11 consecutive matches while Manchester United is doing quite the opposite, rarely scoring.
Monday night NFL - Ravens at Browns
Just the thought of this being the prime time Monday night game should make everybody cringe. It certainly makes us cringe. As we speak, Browns are currently laying 4 with actually some 4.5's out there. Ask yourself, do you really want to lay 4 with the Cleveland Browns? Ask yourself out loud, should I really lay 4 points with this Cleveland team tonight? Ugh. John Harbaugh knows his Ravens team in trouble but Matt Schaub has another chance to prove he still has something left. His arm strength has always been fine, it's his slow motion mechanics that have always been a problem but will it be against a decimated Browns defense? Who knows. Unless some valuable information comes along, props or pass for us.
17th annual ACC/BIG 10 basketball challenge kicks off tonight with Wake Forest/Rutgers and Clemson/Minnesota. Working on those.
