#1 Caesar's Buffet - This one has taken over as the Top Buffet but they have raised the price several times in the last 12 months. (Sorry but I may be to blame for price increase). Buffet started at 29.95 when it first opened and is now at 49.95 but they have the most extensive buffet in Las Vegas right now. The Carving station has so many different meats at it. One could graze for hours...lol
#2 Cosmo - The Cosmo Buffet took over as #1 in Vegas until Caesar's redid their Buffet 2 years ago. From the food selection to the way they offered items on the buffet was totally different to all the other Buffets in Vegas. Cosmo offers many of the food items in single serving containers rather than a huge pan in which you just take a scoop of and put on your plate. Very nice presentation and the food items offered are gourmet level.
#3 Bellagio - The Bellagio was the Champ for so many years but has fallen to #3 as while the new comers have raised the bar as far as Buffets in Vegas go Bellagio really hasn't changed and some of the items have gone down hill. Bellagio use to have the biggest crab legs now the quality has dropped off. The one thing Bellagio does have going for it is that if you play poker and the Bellagio Poker room is one of the top rooms in Vegas you can go to the floor person in the back of the Poker room and ask for a line pass for the buffet. Most of the time the line will be a hour long and the good buffets maybe more on the weekends. With the line pass you don't have to wait in the regular line you get to jump to the VIP line.
Most of the better Buffets are now $35 or more but if your looking for the Best Buffet on strip under $30 I would recommend Planet Hollywood's buffet. Great selection good food and priced right.
Best off the strip Buffet well 10 years ago that would have been Rio but now it is the M Resort Buffet. The M Resort is at the south end of the strip and if you don't have a car it's a pricey taxi ride to get there but they offer the best Buffet off the strip by far. The M Resort is geared more to locals so they offer great value to keep the locals coming back. And if you liked the Rio Buffet back in the day when it was the Top Buffet by far well the owners of the M Resort are the original owners of the Rio when the Rio was the shit. The M resort offers you beer and wine with your buffet as well.
I do write a weekly column in Gaming today about Las Vegas Restaurants as you can check out all the places I have gone. They archive all of the articles at there website.
