I've been asked by the higher ups at this site to share some of my daily experiences living here in Las Vegas. Keep in mind that I'm a 50 year old fat married guy who's in bed by 9PM on most nights. That said, I know or have met just about everyone in town that has anything to do with sports gambling. So I'll do my best to keep you in the loop. Some of this stuff has nothing to do with the pursuit of making money but I for one found it interesting.
So here we go:
Took the wife to see Elton John at Caesars on Valentines Day. Received $250 comped tickets from a client. (Just about everything out here is comped if you know the right people). He put on a good show although he obviously couldn't hit the high notes any longer. Right around the corner by the Pussycat Lounge they were having a Sports Illustrated Party to celebrate the Swimsuit Issue. There must have been quite a few of the models attending the Elton John show because there were hot ladies everywhere. I didn't realize the old guy drew such an audience. A highlight for me was seeing Paul Stanley of KISS who was sitting a few rows ahead of me. Who knew the Star Child was a fan of the Rocket Man.
Signed up at The M Casino for their mobile wagering tablet. I'm an Apple guy so I kept waiting for the app to be available on my IPhone or IPad. Needless to say I've been waiting for months and it's still not available. Finally tired of the daily 20 minute drive just to check their lines and broke down and got the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. They had a deal if you put $5000 into your betting account and run $20,000 through within 30 days the tablet is your to keep. So far so good, although I've only used the tablet for the betting app. Cantor Gaming lines are a valuable information source that you simply need to have in your arsenal. It's one of the few books out there that take a large bet and actually have an opinion. I respect their lines highly. And oh yeah, after about two weeks of using the tablet it's paid for and I've shown a profit. Not the easiest thing to do against the Cantor lines.
Saw a fellow grinder the other day at a Stations property. We discussed various ways to get action in without getting banned. I common theme among many of us who gamble for a living out here in Vegas. It's getting tougher and tougher to make a living out here as there is far less variation in lines, and the limits are much lower. It will even get worse once William Hill enters the picture, no more Leroy's, Cal Neva or Lucky's.
That should do it for now. If you have any questions or comments throw them my way. And if you ever make it to Vegas I'd enjoy spending a few minutes discussing what a great city we live in, even though sometimes we take it for granted.
