skills i'm sure you're a nice guy in real life - but under the veil of anonymity on these boards, you're a bona fide low-life when it comes to talking about politics and default mostly to name-calling (hmm just like someone else who just took office). the thing is i appreciate the work you do handicapping, especially in halftime hoops. that is the beauty of pregame, we can all put all our differences aside and appreciate a good ball game.
party politics aside, i think what every american wants is pretty basic: safe streets for our children, a fair shot a decent living, not having to worry if you can afford going to the doctor, clean water and air, and not getting ripped off come tax season. other than lowering taxes, it is in my humble opinion that trump attacks everyone one of these basic american desires. feel free to disagree with me, that's what democracy is. but don't accuse me of being less american, intimidate me to leave the country, or call me names (although i will admit a get a chuckle every time libtard is thrown around).
republicans worked hard to get trump elected. it took 8 years of organizing to make it happen and the stars really aligned for trump to beat the odds to win the election. but that doesn't mean that you can't disagree with some of the ridiculousness that is happening. i'm not trying to get anyone to switch parties, i'm just trying to make the point that questioning the decisions of elected officials is part of our civic duty as americans. i voted for obama and i really hated some things he did while he was in office.
i guess my point is that i hope that the civility that we've lost in politics can eventually be restored. our elected officials have become disillusioned, incapable of compromise, and have been obstructing the functions of what our government is supposed to provide its citizens. and guess whose tax dollars are paying for these quacks to bicker with each other? maybe we libtards and trumpbots have more in common than we think.
