This may seem like a trivial question to many of you but trust me, it is quite serious. Are you interested in making a living from poker (or sport's handicapping)? I hope the answer is NO for most of you. The simple truth is that many of you will be lead to slaughter by the "chosen few" that will take every chip (or dollar) you own... sooner or later.
I'm not interested in discouraging anyone. I'm just stating fact. Poker or handicapping is no different than life... the more talented and hard working will prevail in the long run, no matter how "lucky" you are in the short term.
25 years ago, I went to Santa Anita everyday for a 103 day meeting (Oak Tree). I also went to am workouts and the top seminars as well. Did I have an advantage on "John Q Public"? If you don't think so, you're wrong. The truth is, that's what I LOVE about "sport's handicapping"... those that are willing to spend the time and $$$ have an edge and will prosper in the long run.
If the previous word's don't make sense to you. GET OUT NOW, before you go broke! If you are a "recreational bettor" God bless you! You are the reason ""we" all are here. If you don't care if you win or lose, 'more power to you!
The truth is, I would prefer to win but as a degen "pro" bettor I know wins come with losses. I accept that without hesitation. I just want to end up in the "black" in the long run...
Good Luck Handicappers!
