Just like to echo the sentiments of welcome to Phil, and thank him for all his efforts throughout the year. It will be a treat to have him here on a regular basis, and I can't imagine it won't prove tremendously insightful.
I do have an opinion on two games that have been mentioned thus far, and they both are totals plays, provided we are offered reasonable numbers to work with. The first is the OVER in the Tulane/ Tulsa game. And the other is the UNDER in the game mentioned above between UCF and Penn St being played in Ireland. I've had that game circled for quite sometime, and will be rooting for third down inefficiency and the clock in that contest.
I also like BYU laying anything less than 17 at UConn week 1. The Cougars season schedule fascinates me, and I think they will be a very interesting squad this year. After what I am hoping will be a blowout at UConn, they go to Austin, and then have a really intriguing match up at home against Houston, in a game that I'm anticipating having an OVER play on, and perhaps a lesser play on the visiting Cougars if they are being under valued in the marketplace, which could potentially be the case after a week 1 game against a frisky UTSA club.
