We get it, Florida State Seminoles have speed. But don't get it twisted, it's not SEC SPEED.
It's the type of speed that went up against: Nevada, Bethune-Cookman, Idaho etc.. The combined record of these teams comes to a fantastic 9-27. Florida State's best win(51-14) came on the road to Clemson who is ranked 13th in the country. I give them credit for that win but not as highly as oddsmakers and gamblers seem to give them. In that game, I stand pat in my belief T.Boyd was staring down his WR's at such an alarming rate it was was clear to me he pretty much gave up after the 1st quarter.
So while this Florida State "speed" was beating up on injury riddled teams such as Maryland and Florida, Auburn was putting in work. Perfecting their offense and improving week after week in the best conference in the country. Yes, Auburn played their fair share of crap such as W.Carolina and Florida Atlantic but the overall body of work that impressed me more and most was Auburn. Sure, Auburn's defense gives up way to many yards and way to many points but what makes Florida State's offense that much better or different than any other offense Auburn's defense has already faced? Go ahead, I'll wait.
Auburn +9½ (-108) pinnacle is locked in.
