Bruno is running away with the series and proves to be NO match for anyone
I didn't know this was a competition. I should buy a pick from a pro :)
You guys say they shouldn't require money back, but you don't offer an alternative except to say don't buy if you don't want the risk. I don't get it. Why would you care?
Very few of those disagreeing buy picks...bruno when was the last time you paid for a pick? I don't and haven't bought picks in over ten years and even then it was a consensus site run by one of the owners here and that was because I ran a book and wanted to know what everyone was picking so I could adjust my lines accordingly.
In this case, the day before and the day of the GOY advertisement one of the site owners made a post WARNING people NOT to buy the GOY pick unless they were fully understanding that it was likely to lose and that they would be ok with it. THAT RIGHT THERE TELLS ME THERE IS IMAGE PROBLEM WITH GOY PICKS LOSING. Else why else would they care if/who/why/what bought.
I'm simply saying that IF you want to protect your reputation from the 'salesmen' as has been alleged on here (and is apparently a concern re: the warning post) then put a price on the pros who want to offer GOY/M. Right now the pro could run one everyday (and this too has been widely discussed) and why not, its just a cash cow. So I say, as a site owner who makes money off these marketing gimmicks and who might be worried about the reputation that could impact his whole site, (enough so to make a post warning people about buying it) then find a resolution -- allow any pro to post a GOY/M as often as they like, but make it money back. Folks would this make me buy - no. Shoudl it make anyone buy more - no. Should it slow the pros down and make them think more about offering it versus just a regular play. YES.
Again, while this is fun, I don't buy, haven't bought and won't buy from a 'pro'. I'd rather barter my insights with someone else on here building relationships. Now, i'm going to go back to my own business so if you choose to disagree feel free to do so. but know that opinions are not fact and they are just as disputable as whether or not LSU was the right pick before the game played or whether or not the site will suffer from people who go 0-2 on GOY picks with high volume.
