Well they were a questionable call away from beating the #2 Team on the Road and looked good in the process. They have a young team and if they continue to get better and look better, they have a shot to get in.
And let's string a couple of quotes of yours together.
"You are such a homer. Arizona is a ranked team."
"USC and ASU are trash."
AZ is ranked 15th and ASU is ranked 14th. And if ASU wins its next two games before ND, it can only go up. The major difference between the two teams for you appears to be that AZ played Oregon and ASU plays ND.
And you call me the homer?
You might be right about Oregon holding on to its position ahead of ND if Oregon wins out, but I think it much more likely that Oregon loses another game than ND. Lou Holtz shocked me when he said that 2-5 Wash St. might upset Oregon, and sure enough it was a close game. And then when Oregon lost to AZ (who lost to that "trash" team - USC) I later figured he knew what he was talking about.
I'd love for ND to play Oregon. Both our lines are better, and our skill players are easily as good.
