I understand why people are on Arizona -7 but what I don't understand is why this line is only 7 points. They played last year in Tuscon and Arizona won 58-13. I realize that the game is in San Antonio this year but shouldn't the spread be more like 10 or 14 points? It feels too good to be true and that worries me.
Concur. Dude looks odd and stinks to high heaven.
One thing maybe worth mentioning is the straight up fact that tony sits in, what I like to call, the golden triangle of recruiting. Just a hard piss away from aggieland and others. When they went Div I, there was certainly some adjustment, but have strong return and do not have to go far to recruit. They have decent facilities (from what I saw) and great shopping at LaCantera. MMP covers this area, he knows the talent that lies in small texas towns that surrounds, it's Friday night lights.
Don't think left coast has the numerous opportunities in the Arizona desert. Not too many football players up in Sedona at the hippie commune or anywhere near the border. The grand canyon is a big hole and unlivable. Seems like they probably tap the LA basin <guessing> like many others, however, Arizona is the brake man on that train; as many other upper echelon schools pull rank, imo.
So geographically speaking, think one has to keep an open mind here; as UTSA is in the "thick of it" and Arizona is preoccupied with patrolling the border, to no avail. I'm sure you'all think Kenny Hill is just another miracle child, but Texas has some of the best recruits in the nation, right smack dab in the south central.
.......and as mentioned, LaCantera has many very nice upscale boutiques; and San Marcus is not too far either if you feel the need for some outlet shopping.
