Interesting match up out in Sacramento as the Rhode Island Rams tip it off against the Blue Jays of Creighton. As I type this the odds makers have this game as a pick or in some places you can get the Rams plus a point. The odds makers see a close one here and it could be. But it is my own view the best play here is on the Rams. Rhode Island might be the 11th seed but I have little doubt they can go toe to toe with the Blue Jays. I like teams that can defend and they can clearly do that. Rhode Island enter this tourney playing their best ball of the season and have some momentum on their side as they now have reeled off eight straight wins. Exactly what you want entering the big dance. Props to the Jays for making the show since many wrote them off when Watson went down. He was a difference maker. But in my own opinion it all ends here. I have seen Creighton break too many bettors hearts in the big dance over the years. They have struggled in the dance cashing tickets and that goes back to the days when Dana Altman was the head coach and took some very sound teams to the dance, better teams than this years edition in my view. The fact is Creighton has cashed a lousy one game in the last ten in the big dance. I do not see them bucking that trend here. I think Rhode Island is the right side here guys.
On the business side I have won now on six of my last seven Triple Star releases. I have won four of my five Triples in March college tourney action thus far. I did drop one last night with Wake Forest as Kansas State frankly played what might have been their best performance of the season. The Wildcats came to play and seemed just a little hungrier than Manning's club. Props to the Wildcats. Anyway, I have just loaded up a Triple Star that is one of the thursday games. I am very confident we will cash this one and without too much drama. The game is now up and available. It does involve a team I am very familiar with.
Finally, this can be an incredibly exciting time guys. March madness is my favorite even of the entire sports year. Particularly the opening weekend. If you have never been to Vegas for this and it is on your bucket list I strongly encourage you to do so. It's a zoo, but it's pretty damn cool. If crowded sports books bug you, scratch the whole ideal, lol.
Thanks and best of luck this week. It won't be dull.
