FRIDAY EARLY PLAY
Detroit Tigers -155
Baltimore played last night and lost to the Red Sox in a close contest. Then they had to board a plane, fly over to Motown and they have to play an early 1 pm game. Their game last night got over like 10 hours ago. First pitch is set for three hours from now. I don't think this situation for Baltimore is the best. None of the Oriole hitters has seen Detroit starter Anibal Sanchez more than four at bats and it's going to be a cold, foggy day in Detroit. Advantage pitchers in my opinion. Last year opponents hit just .217 against Sanchez in Comerica Park and he won eight of his 14 starts, but struck out 110 in just 93 innings. Last year in April Sanchez made five starts and allowed only five earned runs in those contests combined.
Young Baltimore starter Miguel Gonzalez has given up four home runs to guys in Detroit's lineup today. I like the look of this Tigers lineup and they're a much more rested team heading into this game having not played yesterday.
