Getting a feel for the offenses and for the starting pitchers is more like it haha.
I definitely think there will be money to be made on the following
fading Phillies as favorites
playing over on Phillies in right matchups
catching 1st five overs on astros
fading Detroit, especially the bullpen
marlins appear to have some offense together, so will have to pick spots with them
I really haven't done as much as id like to have with the teams out west and obviously none of those points are absolute, just some decent starting points on where to try to find soft spots. lots of work to do and of course once the season openers go teams tighten up much more, so not everything we are seeing is going to carry over to regular season. ill be attending the Phillies game this Saturday at citizens, it will be nice to watch them in person to see how they are clicking "when no one is watching"
so far I think spring has been successful. I believe my picks are accurate within a game or two. im just under 50% and slightly in the negative which should start to grade back up shortly. playing mostly small dogs its less the win percentage and more about grinding the profits out two to three games everyday between now and season end.
a lot of guys balk at preseason wagering, but I think the practice and warmup is just as necessary for the cappers as it is for the players and ive got no problem being down approx. 1-2 units over three weeks tinkering with it knowing im in a better position to be in profit by seasons end.
