In Betting Buzz, Steve and Scott take a look at week 1 Preseason totals.
From 2002 to 2012, week 1 preseason games averaged about 35.7 ppg. Last year it was about 4 points or high, with 11 games putting up at least 40 points.
Steve thinks its a case of oddsmakers just looking at past years data and getting it wrong. This year the totals are any from 34 to 37 in the first week of preseason and Steve feels that is just too low, especially with the new rules.
Week 1 Preseason dogs of 3.5 or more are gone basically and there have been just 3 in the last 2 years combined and none this year.
Belichick is a coach to watch as he likes to get off to a strong start, while Rex Ryan has not been very good in the preseason.
The guys then move to some college football line moves. According to bettors the Baylor Bears will win the national title with some crazy moves on Baylor.
Kansas State opened as a favorite vs TCU and is now the dog.
