49ers touchdown saving tackle cost bettors $72 Million!
An estimated $100 million was bet worldwide on the Cowboys/49ers game, with an estimated 86% of that action on Dallas. In OT, a Cowboys receiver was caught from behind and tackled on the one-yard line - leading to a game winning field goal. If a TD had been scored, the Cowboys as a 3-point favorite would have cashed for bettors. Instead, all monies were returned on a tie (called a “push). So, an ultimately meaningless shoe-string tackle resulted in bettors winning $0 instead of an estimated $72 million!

$100 would have won $76,400 on Auburn
If you had risked $100 on Auburn to win the first game of their 17-game win streak, and then let the money ride for all 17 wins, you would have won $76,400!

Lions favored for first time ever at Minnesota!
Detroit is a 3.5-point favorite at Minnesota next Sunday. With reliable data available back to 1990, this is the first time in 20+ years that Detroit has been favored over Minnesota in a game played in Minnesota. Additionally, it is the first time this century Detroit is favored by a field goal or more on the road.

Colts biggest home underdog of Peyton Manning Era!
Colts are an 11-point underdog to visiting Pittsburgh. Never have the Colts been more than a touchdown underdog at home since Manning entered the league in 1998. Only twice since 2000 (including this past week vs. Browns) have the Indianapolis Colts been home underdogs of any size in any game they intended to play their starters

Other Noteworthy NFL Lines:
Patriots -9 at Bills
Saints -4 hosting Texans
Chargers -15 hosting Chiefs
Packers -3.5 at Bears

Noteworthy college football lines:
Alabama -12.5 hosting Arkansas
LSU -5 at West Virginia
Notre Dame -6 at Pitt
Texas A&M -4 hosting Oklahoma State
Arizona State -3 hosting USC

Public suffers ALL-TIME historic loss on Baltimore Ravens.
Chris Andrews, assistant director of Cal-Neva sportsbooks, says that Baltimore received more individual bets than any team EVER! Yes, largest bet NFL team during a single week in history. This accounting counts parlays and teasers, and exceeded even teams playing in the Super Bowl.

72% of NFL games OVER the posted total.
Week Two: 9 games scored more points than projected, 5 less, and 1 tied. Week One: 12 over, 3 under, 1 tie. Season totals: 21 over, 8 under, 1 tie (72%).

That 9ers tackle was unreal. Almost looks like the WR got a little gassed, but with a tiny bit more effort could have made it. I hate betting square, but I took Dallas this week. The 9ers win over Seattle was very deceiving on the scoreboard. They had a late kickoff return, then a long punt return, otherwise they only beat Seattle by 2 points. Anyway back to the point! ha. Yes, that damn tackle was huge. And of course I didn't feel the need to buy the hook on that game. Not to mention the fact you percentages are probably pretty equal on whether to try and run in that TD from the 1 yard line, or kick an 18 yd FG. But damn Jessie Holley for getting run down like that.

At the same time though the Niners did put together drives that were stalled in the red zone for field goals. So in that way it was a bit deceiving of a gane that they were not up by more before those returns. Kinda reminds me of the Texans this weekend against Miami, just not as dominant in the statistics were the Niners.

If I remember correctly, Seattle actually had more first down and more total yards than San Francisco. I know what you're saying though. Those type of things can go both ways. They just struggled. I think if Seattle had any type of a QB who was at least decent, they would have won that game. Either way, breaking down games where scores were deceiving is a key handicapping tool. I'm glad you brought up the Texans / Dolphins game. I am going to have to go check out how that went down. Thanks!

I heard an interview from Holley this morning.  He said he got a little tired at the end because he just ran down the field on special teams punt coverage and that was first play from scrimmage. He said the Ferrari ran out of gas and should have used super unleaded instead of regular. I missed a $100 parlay card because of him getting caught!! I am a Cowboy fan so I am glad that they atleast got the victory.

You know what really sucks?  When you have a shitty bookie that instead of charging -130, he just throws a hook on there.  I'm still sick about it.
