This looks like a tricky line with a 8-3 Giants team catching a big 6 points and rolling with 6 straight wins. Very tempting! Steelers are riding a 2game win streak of their own and looking to add to it.
One thing to keep in mind is the level of competition in that NY win streak. NY was at home for 5 straight games (vs rams in London) following a 3 game losing streak. Their one nice win was against Baltimore to start the streak. They followed that up with wins over the Rams, Eagles, Bengals, Bears, and Browns, all bottom dwellers in their divisions. Now they are on the second of back to back road games with Dallas on deck next weekend. This feels like a bad spot for the Giants. It will be a cold and hostile environment in Heinz Field tonight making it tough on Eli and their 31st ranked running game. I think this has all the makings of a big let down spot for NY, and a big home performance by this Steelers team who heads out on the road for their next 2 after tonight and really needs this home win after dropping their last 2 home games to Dallas and New England.
Its a big number but I think the situation justifies it. Steelers -6.5
