Took Chiefs -6 1/2 @BetOnline - Don't be misled by the Saints' victory over Carolina. Cam was anything but 100% healthy and it was one of Carolina's worst defensive performances I have ever seen. As bad as Carolina played, they still had a chance for a late win. That should tell you how bad the Saints defense is. Its just a matter of time before the already injured Drew Brees gets injured, if not for a game or two, but perhaps for the season. Brees is not getting the protection a injured QB who can't run needs to survive a entire season. The Chiefs on the other hand, have it all together for the most part. While I am far from a Coach Andy Reid fan, I must admit he is very content to have the Chiefs right where he wants them to be. Good QB play, (a QB the Saints really wanted and are still upset about not acquiring). Oh well. Arroiwhead Stadium is a brutal place to play, as the Chiefs thrive on that Chief fan base, and those sophisticated Chief fans know when to "be quiet". This game will be a W and a cover for the Chiefs, as they are healthy and this Chief defense will show no mercy on Brees. The Saints are loaded with young starting rookies on offense, and have a "leaky" defense and they have not played anywhere like Arrowhead since becoming Saints. Coach Reid will control the pace of this game, and his offense will score enough points, while his defense and will hold the Saints to probably their lowest scoring game they will play this year. The final score may not reflect the whipping the Saints will receive, but as long as the Chiefs cover, which they will, thats all that matters. Saints fans, settle back and get your "Aints Bags" out and put them on early, as you might not want anyone to know who you are, even if you are in your own home. It could be worse, you could be watching this game in the Superdome, where you would really want to hide. Prediction: Chiefs by 17 or more. ******************************************************************************************
Took NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -6 1/2 (buy 1/2 down to 6 1/2) @BetOnline - I think that "Big Ben" being out is worth one touchdown. Patriot QB Tom Brady has so many "chips" on his shoulder, nothing would make him happier than to beat the "cocky" Steelers in their own house. If Brady was ever well prepared for a road game, you can be assured he will be well prepared for this one. The Steelers' QB will get this unexpected assignment, against someone who is a genius at preparation, Coach Bill B. The Steeler QB better depend on his running game, as the less he throws the ball, the longer he might stay in the game. If any team loves to play against a backup QB, its Coach Bill B. and his Patriots. Prediction: PATRIOTS by 14 or more.
