Westgate is currently dealing Colts under 10.5 +150, and reports are some shops including Golden Nugget have Colts Under 11 -115.
As Fezzik says, that is one fine wager.
Need a healthy Luck and 11 (or 12 at the Nugget) wins to beat me. +150 is significant plus money for a win totals play, especially an under where any injury where Luck misses multiple games would doom the Colts.
A lot of public hype over Frank Gore and Andre Johnson but did the Colts improve their defense? Drafting a wide receiver in the 1st round gives Andrew Luck yet another target, but he already had plenty of targets last year with TY Hilton, Reggie Wayne, Fleener, Nicks, Allen etc. The cupboard remains full.
Indy will play the AFC East which means 2 or 3 nasty and improved defenses, with Rex Ryan's defense in Buffalo, Todd Bowles adding Leonard Williams and bringing Cromartie AND Revis back to NYJ and Ndamukong Suh to Miami.
If Brady's 4-game suspension stands, his debut will be against the Colts (see also, Deflategate) on NBC's Sunday Night Football October 18. Do you THINK Tom Brady will be fired up to smoke the Colts again?
Think Houston with a competent Hoyer is straight up better than Indy. The Texans defense already featured JJ Watt (last year's real MVP) and Cushing and now Vince Wilfork is in town BBQing on the grill and blue chip player Clowney may be ready to contribute. The Texans return the entire secondary except Kendrick Lewis but drafted Kevin Johnson in 1st round to replace him.
If the Colts split their 4 NFC South games that's 2 more losses.
Flex AFC games against Denver (seeking playoff revenge) and Pittsburgh won't be easy.
