Betting Buzz starts off with some NFL Power Ratings talk.
Prior to this past weeks games, Steve had dropped the Broncos below the Patriots in his power rankings and RJ didn't agree. Steve states that RJ is wrong. LOL Steve feels that the Pats are the better team and just doesn't see Denver winning in New England come playoff time. He also feels it will be a Pats/ Packers superbowl.
Moving on to Seattle Steve has them to 4th and with all the internal problems they have he just doesn't feel that this is their year.
Andy has the Seahawks a little lower at 7th. Andy has New England #1, Denver #2 and his surprise team is Miami at #3.
Moving on they discuss handicapping this time of year with all the sports hat are going on at once.
It is tough to handicap everything this time of year. Andy states that with 11 weeks under their belt in the NFL that sport is a bit less time consuming to cap as we pretty much know what to expect from these teams. The same can be said for CFB.
As a result that leaves more time for the NBA and in particular College Basketball, which does require more work.
For Scott the NBA is mostly situational which means he can really narrow down a large card very quickly. He does state that handicapping college basketball this time of year can be made a bit easier if you just look at Assists/turnover ratio for the teams. Teams that turn it over allot are good play against teams earlier in the year or at the very least those are teams to stay away from.
Trying to cap the hole card is very tough, but Steve states that just narrowing it down to a few teams or just a conference may be the way to go.
