SMALL PLAY HERE:
SAN DIEGO CHARGERS +10
Well quite simply, last season these teams played 3 times with the Chargers winning in Denver by 7, losing at home by 8 and losing in Denver in the playoffs by 7. The common tread here? Single digit victories by either team. This season the Chargers are playing at a higher level, and it could also be argued that Denver is as well. So what has changed to make this a double digit line? Nothing from what I can see. The Chargers know the way to compete here, run the ball run the ball run the ball, and I think they will be successful with it. Rivers also can make the throws when he needs to. The only thing keeping me off a bigger play here is that the line really doesn't make sense. I know these Thursday games have favored home favorites, but I think the Chargers have what it takes to keep this one close with Denver pulling out a 31-26 victory.
