Last year was the first time I bet baseball. I got killed and quit after about 4 weeks. This year before the season I studied more and changed my approach. Simply put I bet more dogs and faded the public. I looked at the games differently as a result of what I had learned. So this year so far I have made 415 bets. I have won 184 bets and lost 231 bets. (44.34%)
Since the beginning of the season, I am up 30 units and have a 7.18% yield or ROI (return on investment). At one point I was up 40 units and had a 12% ROI. I have fallen back in the last few weeks.
I am still learning and getting better. One thing I have come to understand is that GRINDING it out is the norm. There is no big payday but rather a back and forth up and down sort of grind to beating the bookies. Little by little with steady perseverance and looking back to see how you can improve will get results. Managing the bankroll and not over-betting will help me get better results.
I have come to like baseball even better than I liked college basketball.
The bottom line is that, SO FAR, i am beating baseball!
