FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th
COLORADO +7.5 (vs Iowa State, neutral court)
Colorado is on a mission after a disappointing season. They have been going extra hard this summer and will be treating this game against Iowa State like it's the tournament. Their best player Josh Scott seems to be fully recovered from his back injury and now that he is healthy is underrated. Iowa State lost their talented head coach Hoiberg to the pros. Hoiberg ran a unique system so it may take some time for the team to adjust to their new coach.
WASHINGTON +10 (vs Texas, neutral court)
I foresee Texas struggling initially under new head coach Shaka Smart. Smart employs an up-tempo havoc system but his predecessor Rick Barnes played much slower and stocked the team with big guys. Meanwhile I think Washington's new talent is underrated.
USC -6 (vs San Diego)
Andy Enfield has a poor record at USC but he has done a decent job recruiting. He should finally have the pieces in place to run his west coast dunk city system. On the flip side San Diego seems to be in total rebuild mode with a new coach whose quotes aren't exactly inspiring much confidence.
PITT +8 (vs Gonzaga, neutral court)
Gonzaga is loaded up-front but they have to replace their experienced backcourt of Pangos and Bell which they have relied on heavily over the years. Fading them early in the season as they learn to adjust to life without them makes sense. Pitt returns a ton of experience and are physical enough that they can defend Gonzaga's front line effectively.
