As I stated in an earlier thread in this forum this Morehead St. team is in turmoil. Head coach, Sean Woods, has been suspended with pay. "Resulting from complaints received, the institution has begun an investigation involving the head basketball coach. "Assistant Coach Preston Spradlin will serve as head coach in the interim until the investigation is completed". The rumor going around is that he hit a player. These rumors usually start from players on the team. So I tend to believe them. According to WTVQ 36 sports anchor Kennedy Hardmen out of Lexington players are petitioning NCAA to transfer w/ arguments of mistreatment and a hostile environment.
If none of this would have happened I'm not so sure MSU could have covered this line. They lost their last two games at Evansville by 13 and at Marshall by 8. This could have two effects on the team. Either it brings them together in a big effort or pushes them apart as to each player for themselves. I tend to think that if they face any adversity they will have a hard time coming back from it. One thing to keep in mind id that MSU is one of the worst teams in the country at committing fouls ranking #336 and Pittsburgh is a much better ft shooting team than MSU. I'm taking the home team Panthers to pull away to an easy victory in this one. More to come.
