Just got back home from the WPO in Tunica, Ms. and my old ass is worn out. I didn't cash in the first two NLH tournaments I played in. In fact the second one was the first tournament I ever played in where I never won a hand. I only played three hands. first hand: KK got beat on the river by a flush. Second hand: KK got beat by runner runner 3-3 to make the guy a set. Last hand: 99 caught a guy who had JJ and hit quads.
However the next tournament (event 8 PLH 2 day event) I won. It was three in the morning and we had been playing heads up for about 15 minutes. My opponent went all in with AQ off and I called with 99. I had about 1,600,000 and he had about 1,300,000 in chips so whoever won that hand was going to win the tournament. As you all know it was pretty much a coin flip on who would win the hand so we just decided to split the money and whoever won the hand would take first and the trophy. I caught a 9 on the flop and he never paired so I got the win. That made it a fun week but those tournaments sure take a lot out of me now days. Now I have a few weeks to rest up before the Hilton meeting. I hear VR has been taking golf lessons. Come on VR, Mr. Hook and I are still looking for two more to make up a foursome that Saturday. Grab Bryan L. and let's play.
