IN 1933 on this date major league baseball announced it's first all star game. It was to be played on July 6 at Comiskey Park in Chicago as part of the Worlds Fair. I know many of you have been to all star games in the past. My first one came in 1966 when the newly built Busch Stadium was built in St Louis and was the showcase for the event. It was HOT that day my friends, seriously hot. 105 degrees and people were dropping like flies. Being a 7 year old boy nothing much fazed me, including this. I was too much in awe in the stadium to much notice. I still have the game program from that game and it's in mint condition. The starting pitchers that day were Sandy Koufax and Denny McClain. The National league prevailed 2-1. They asked Casey Stengel that day what he thought of the new stadium and he replied that it sure held the heat well. Anyway, it was a neat memory that means more now years later when I reflect back and dad's been gone 14 years now.
Okay, I promised a free winner and I am going with a dog tonight. Suggesting a play on #977 the Royals as they play their second game of the series with Oakland. Now, for the business end of things I have another Triple Star in the playoffs up and loaded for sunday. The last one came wednesday with the Grizzlies taking care of business against the Thunder. I went the entire regular season without so much as one triple as I prefer them in the post season. Just my way. Anyway the triples in the post season are currently 7-3. I've now cashed on 9 of my last 11 playoff releases overall. Anyway, the results with these releases have always been sound and one is up now. Nobody likes to read marketing guys but it is a reality of our business. Plain and simple. I just try and stick to facts and leave it at that. Most people who troll the net and see all the sites with their bullshit can read between the lines clear enough.
Okay, there it is. Hope everyone has a super weekend. Best of luck with your action and enjoy the games!
