Stones all the way......stood the test of time.....and still rocking well into their 60's...
Mick Jagger one of the greatest frontmen in the history of rock n roll. (There are more than a few that come close but...) I have seen them twice and they boggle the mind. I have seen over 100 Big time rock concerts and rock festivals and played in a rock band for 5 years and think I know music pretty well...they simply flat out set the bar....many have come and gone.....The Stones simply put are at the top of the heap. There is not a single big time band (past or present) that would not kill to play with them, or jam with them...
The Beatles no doubt made their mark, were very talented, and did their thing as well and were a huge influence, they were no slouch by any stretch....., but the body of work, the charisma, the stage presence, the classic hits.....I really do not think their is an equal to the Stones influence on rock n roll. Many come close....
