Match stays under 21.5 with 20 total games played. 2-1 +3.0 units. Each unit is $100.00.
Even when it doesn't go the way you think it does, you can still find success which tends to even out in the end but it doesn't go without saying, that was some serious foreshadowing in the beginning part of the insight I put up on the match.
Movement 30 minutes before start and close remained the same:
under 21.5 -107 (bookmaker)
under 21.5 -110 (5dimes)
under 21.5 -106 (pinnacle)
Me and my partner are at odds over the Mathieu/Paire match. If anything, I want to unload on Paire +1.5 sets at -419 over at pinnacle (I'm probably going to against his say) but he doesn't want to take that risk, rightfully so. He doesn't like backing somebody like Paire who has a propensity to lose his cool on any given game let alone match. So with Paire +1.5 against somebody like Mathieu who just turned 34 who has been on the decline for quite some time, I see value. It is what it is. Some like to f around with much less risk and play 20 games a day but I go straight for the kill (not always but more often than not). Works both ways because the more you play, the more you have to win to break even or see a profit. If Mathieu wins the 1st set, will I be nervous in the 2nd set? Of course but I'm nervous even if it's only $100 to win $100. I'm going against my partners advice and will place Benoit Paire +1.5 sets -419 for 5 units (just did so now). It kick starts in 1 hour and a half. He'll be out for most of the afternoon anyways. It's life, people disagree.
Anything Mathieu can do, Paire can do better. That's just how I feel and I can't go against how I feel because I've been doing this too long. In the end, I win but I'm much more humbling in person.
Yes, you can play Paire straight up to win but don't unload.
