Boy it feels good to finally get a solid tournament in. For a while there it felt like I wasn't going to turn a profit in a tournament ever again, haha. But so incredibly happy I put an emphatic end to that terrible losing streak.
Overall I believe that I flat out had this tournament capped correctly. To be able to make almost +18 units, without even hitting the winner, is something I am extremely proud of. And the fact that I had 2 guys finish T2 makes me want to find a way to get some E/W betting available in the American books!
I have already turned my attention to the Canadian Open, but as I always do, win or lose, I wanted to pop back in here and give the detailed breakdown below. The yearly results have been updated as well, and now I am within 1 good tournament away from getting back into the black this year. That is very important to me. Just like I want to end every tournament being profitable, I want to end each season a winning one. I've got about 8 or 9 events to reach that goal. Time to bear down.
As usual, thank you to everyone for stopping by. I really enjoyed all the chatter and analysis - thanks for sharing everyone! As I mentioned in the beginning of this thread, it really does pay off to have good conversations about events. We all bring something to the table - we can all learn something from each other. So I hope to keep that up even throughout the lesser known tournaments...
I will attempt to get the Canadian Open thread at least up and running tonight or early tomorrow. Even if I have only 1 pick to throw in there, I think it's good practice for me to get them up early and allow everyone their chances to opine. And then as I make plays I will update accordingly. I think this is a good strategy moving forwards - but I am always open to suggestions!
Thanks everyone! I'll catch y'all in the new thread!
