A Whitney day hangover. What a day!! I hope everyone cashed some tickets or at the very least used the bold pick on my list. In 14 posts I have only made 3 bold and I am 2-1-0, Off the Tracks ($19.60) opening day, Gap Year ($9.20 $6.50) 2nd Friday and Zennor ($9.00) yesterday. After Zenor came in my next two were scratched then Bar of Gold was good enough for 2nd behind a commanding win for Cavorting paying $12.20 to place and finishing off a $92.50 exacta. In the Whitney, Liam's Map tried to go all Secretariat on there asses and the horse that will beat American Pharoah came all the way from Albany to nip him at the wire. You should have sen how comfortable this horse and Javier were coming down the back stretch, Javier looked like he knew he was going to win he was riding with such confidence. Then there was the 10th were Carmouche took one on the lead not challenged until the turn for home and when this horse was asked he went and paid $11.20 to win and capped a very nice $241 pk3
Now that that is behind us lets keep riding the wave. Today's stake race looks like it could be a Grade 1
Race 1 The 3 Attractive ride really likes this course but I think the other speed may take him down today so I will use the #7 Energetico 7/2
Race 2 #3 Thrilled 4-1 I would be thrilled to get 4-1 on this Tabor homebred of Uncle Mo
#5 Harmonize 10-1 Mott trying to sneak another 2yo on us?
Race 4 #2 Hartford 3-1 Ran a monster in debut then disappeared and comes back 19 months later
Race 5 #9 Whitman's Poetry 7/2
Race 6 #6 Constellation 5/2 This $800k 2yo in training purchase was bought to win here. Gate works have been on the main track and were the bullets while other works were on the Oklahoma. This horse should take the leade and never look back while not being touched. Irad will be along for the ride.
Race 7 #4 Myfourchix 4-1 was here as a maiden last year and just missed, then Schosberg had the balls to come back in the Seeking The Ante at this distance to win.
Race 8 #9 Rectify 7/2 local owners pointing for this race where he may end up alone on the lead. I will use #2 Sir Maurice because Carmouche may try to take the lead and get loose on a track that is holding speed and at 20-1 I cannot overlook.
Race 9 this is a fun race to play and a chance at some good cash as I think Palace Malace runs of the board here. I like the #12 Matrooh 4-1. I know what your saying thats no price. You're right, I also like the #2 Noble Moon 20-1 and the #9 Mexikoma 10-1
A nice exacta and tri box is 2,9,11,12
Race 10 #1 Unbridled Sonya 15-1
Race 11 #1 The Ramsey entry is hard to pass up. 2 nice horses for the price of one. A homebred and one they probably wouldn't mind letting go of for $50k after they claimed it for $50k then won one and ran second last out
BOL today and May the Horse be with us!!
