I have been on fire of late winning 25.52 units in June & look to keep the streak going. You can go to my Twitter account @MartinP_MMA for information on all of my plays because I will have a full card.

UFC 189 should be a tremendous card with 2 title fights & is basically the Conor McGregor show. Everything is about Conor & the UFC really needs him to come through. If Conor wins then he will easily rival Brock Lesnar as the biggest draw but if he loses then he will never get this kind of momentum back. I truly question whether or not Conor is focused because he has spent much more time hyping the event than training & he has been broken before when he's on the mat. For all of Conor's talk, he's tapped rather quickly in the past. If Mendes can get this fight to the mat then it'll probably be a done deal if Conor can't get up quick. All the value is on Mendes here but you have to question his chin & the short notice of this fight. This fight is much more of a toss up than the public thinks & the line will probably continue to climb.
Lawler vs MacDonald should be another decent scrap but both men have dropped the ball in the promotion department. This is another fight that should be close & is kind of a toss up. I am a little baffled that Robbie is a dog but Rory is known for doing just enough to win.
There's also a handful of bouts with 5 or more years in age gap & there's also quite a few grappler vs striker matchups. The fights I am most excited to see are Thatch vs Nelson & the war that will be Matt Brown vs Tim Means. Stephens was gonna be a big play but he missed weight pretty bad & is now a pass. Anyways, here's my play.

1 Unit
(24226) Cathal Pendred -110
Analysis: I have very rarely ever released an MMA play that didn't pay at even money or better but Pendred -110 is just too good to pass up. Cathal's 4-0 UFC run has been very unimpressive but he's still done just enough to get his hand raised & he's facing a very average fighter in John Howard. Howard has already lost 3 in a row & realistically has 1 foot out the door. Both men are very similar but Pendred is bigger, stronger, more active, more aggressive, & really has more heart. The fight might be close early but Pendred will either grind out a decision or use his aggression to finish Howard late. Pendred also has a chip on his shoulder & wants to prove his run isn't a fluke so I look for him to really push for a finish.
Prediction: Cathal Pendred 2nd Round TKO
