Take ARMY +6 Not only did Navy take a real physical beating by Temple in their last outing, but they lost 3 key starters and will be starting a third string QB; not good for the Midshipmen. Army, since the start of this season, felt as though they had a great chance in this rivalry game, that means everything to both teams. Army over the last several years have not fared well vs. Navy. Now Army feels better as this year has been a decent one, and things seemed to fall their way, particularly after Army got a two week rest to prepare for Navy, while the Midshipmen took that devastating loss to TEMPLE on the scoreboard and on the field with key injuries. The stage is set, in Army's favor and the line has done nothing but go down. So grab the six points, not that you will need them, as I like Army straight up!
Starting NAVY Senior QB Will Worth, and Senior Starting Running back Toneo Gulley, all suffered season ending injuries in the game that they lost to TEMPLE, keeping them out the rest of this season. This is a devistating loss.
Zack Abey sophomore QB makes his first start since playing for Navy. This is no easy task. Starting QB Worth, Starter Gulley and starting fullback Chris High, all will definitely not play.
IN addition, on defense, 5 starters will definitely not play for NAVY.
This will be the first time since 1941, the year of the WWII Pearl Harbor attack, that NAVY has to play Army without having the week before the game off, giving them a rest and extra time to prepare to play the Army game.
The only thing Navy won't have to worry about, is the attendence of Army's greatest General, George Patton, who hated Navy and merely his presence would have helped ARMY! A halftime speech by Patton, would have been of great value.
