Florida Atlantic vs. Old Dominion (NCAAF) - 12:00 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Point Spread: 4.0/-105 Old Dominion Pick Title: 12 Star College Football Game Of The Year |
Win |
The (2-9) Florida Atlantic Owls played Florida toe-to-toe last weekend & almost came up with the victory, losing 20-14 in OT @ "The Swamp" (Ben Hill Griffin Stadium) in Gainesville. Now HC Charlie Partridge & his charges take to the road to play a 5-6 ODU that will highly motivated to become bowl-eligible with a 6th win. 7th-year HC Bobby "Gets Even" Wilder always shown getting his troops "November Ready" since the Monarchs first joined the FBS (2013). In fact, under further examination, Wilder has quite the late-season record here since taking over in the 2009 campaign. Coming into this contest, his accumulative SU record the last 4 games of the regular season is a red-hot 22-5 SU. His 5 career losses during late-season have been to Georgia Southern twice in the playoffs, @ North Carolina, @ Vanderbilt and @ Southern Mississippi this month. Florida Atlantic is not in this caliber of teams. My bottom line says Bobby Wilder knows how to keep his team fresh for the late-season drive. Especially his RB in Ray Lawry who steamrolled over Florida Atlantic for 213 rushing yards in a 31-28 win @ FAU Stadium in Boca Raton. The last time they were installed as home dogs in November, they beat the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs OUTRIGHT 30-27 in OT as + 11 1/2-point underdog last season. I highly question what the Owls have left in their tank after they left a lot of their "A Game" on the field last week. In the numbers, FAU is 1-4 SU on the road with their lone victory coming against Conference USA patsy, the Charlotte 49ers. Ok, let's get ready for the dagger! In contrast of Wilder, Charlie Partridge's current late-season record since taking over the helm of the Owls is a perfect 0-7 SU! This will be 1 of 2 CFB Games of The Year (2nd one is my CFB Bowl GOY). I'm set to go down to Foreman Field in Norfolk & grab the generous +4 and take the Old Dominion Monarchs as my 12 Star Regular Season College Football Game Of The Year!

Maryland vs. Rutgers (NCAAF) - 12:00 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Money Line: -135 Rutgers Pick Title: 8 Star No Righting The Ship Play |
Loss |
These Maryland Terrapins have shown at times that they can jet out to a lead and not hold out throughout their current 8-game SU losing streak. Even though both of these won't be going bowling, I'm buying what HC Kyle flood will be selling his players for this Big Ten finale. Maryland shoots themselves in the foot repeatedly (16 turnovers in their past 5 games) and I don't see anything changing here despite none last week. Let's eagerly travel to High Point Solutions Stadium in East Brunswick to play the Rutgers Scarlet Knights as my 8 Star No Righting The Ship Play!

UCLA vs. USC (NCAAF) - 3:30 PM EST |

Pick: Money Line: -140 USC Pick Title: 9 Star Drinking The Clay Kool-Aid Play |
Win |
Here we have the 8-3 Jim Mora Jr.-coached U.C.L.A. Bruins squad taking on the 7-4 U.S.C. Trojans under the direction of interim HC & ex-OC Clay Helton. Since taking over, U.S.C. has been highly competitive minus last week's debacle in Eugene. Guess what? If U.C.L.A. had been there this late in the season, they would have got drubbed too. Helton knows how to K.I.S.S. (Keep It simple Stupid) & that may be the right Rx to put more W's (here & a bowl) to close out the year. Yes I understand since coming to Los Angeles, Mora has solved the Trojans to the tune of 3 double-digit victories since that 50-0 embarrassment back in the 2011 campaign. However, I also feel the Bruins have tried to compensate too much by force-filling too many holes by shifting personnel into uncharacteristic roles. This is a BIG game & I feel the Mora mini-streak comes to an end. I clearly feel going with the team with the better chemistry is the way to go in this series where both sides clearly hate each other. Let's take the U.S.C. Trojans @ Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as the survivor as my 9 Star Drinking The Clay Kool-Aid Play!

Middle Tenn St vs. UTSA (NCAAF) - 2:30 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Point Spread: 12.0/-106 UTSA Pick Title: 8 Star Saturday Super Inflater |
Loss |
The Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State may have the better record & are now bowl-eligible. However, HC Larry Coker will get his troops up for the home finale. This UTSA team is playing good ball in November too. Getting this many points versus a mediocre traveler in MTSU (1-4 SU) is way too tempting to pass up. The Blue Raiders should get some respect, but definitely not this much. I'm all in on the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners +12 as my 8 Star Saturday Super Inflater @ the Alamodome in San Antonio!

Pick: Point Spread: 18.0/-106 Vanderbilt Pick Title: 8 Star Missed Perception Rocky Top Rumble Play |

Guys, C'Mon Man! Do you actually think 4-7 Vanderbilt is that bad? They want this game just as bad as already bowl-eligible Tennessee. In fact, it was pretty tough focusing last week against Texas A&M. They've played 3 games on the road in the SEC Conference thus far. They've lost @ Mississippi by a 27-16 count, lost @ South Carolina 19-10 & took a very good Florida team to the wire before losing 9-7 @ The Swamp. Now let's look what Tennessee has done in Knoxville during conference games. They've lost to Arkansas 24-20, beaten Georgia 38-31 & edged South Carolina 27-24. Unless QB Joshua Dobbs turns into the collegiate Peyton Manning, this spread is way off base. Vanderbilt HC Derek mason has them playing respectable football. The last 2 games the past 2 seasons in this series have seen the away team come out victorious by 24-17 & 14-10 counts. I also believe there's way to much Vols' hype floating among the ranks. I expect the "Boys From Nashville" to slide way under this number. My 8 Star Missed Perception Rocky Top Rumble Play goes to noisy Neyland Stadium to take the Vanderbilt Commodores!

Mississippi vs. Mississippi St (NCAAF) - 7:15 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Money Line: 105 Mississippi St Pick Title: 8 Star ML Dogger Play |
Loss |
I'm not sold on the 8-3 Ole' Miss Rebels on the road. Yes, they did beat the possible National Champion Alabama Crimson tide in Tuscaloosa earlier by a 43-37 count. But what have they done on the road lately? Since then, they were blown @ Florida 38-10, lost @ Memphis 37-24 & beat a mediocre 6-5 Auburn team by a 27-19 score. This is the Egg Bowl and the last time the Rebels beat the Bulldogs in Starkville was the 2003 season. That year they shut out Mississippi State with a QB known as Eli Manning. There's no doubt that Ole' Miss QB Chad Kelly & Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott are gunslingers that can move the football up and down the field. But until the "Redneck Flags" can prove they can win in Starkville more than once in a decade, HC Dan Mullen's 8-3 maroon & white gets my nod. For today, the red, white and blue will not come through. At Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, my 8 Star ML Dogger Play is all over the Mississippi State Bulldogs!

Notre Dame vs. Stanford (NCAAF) - 7:30 PM EST |

Pick: Money Line: -158 Stanford Pick Title: 8 Star West Coast Playoff Eliminator Play |
Win |
Notre Dame has won many games with a trick pony this season. Too many injuries finally catch up to them here as not enough skilled personnel on the depth charts are there for adequate replacements. 5th-year QB Kevin Hogan gets his last chance at executing revenge for last year's 17-14 loss @ South bend. I'm heading to Stanford Stadium to play the home-standing Stanford Cardinal as my 8 Star West Coast Playoff Eliminator Play!

Navy vs. Houston (NCAAF) - 12:00 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Money Line: -169 Navy Pick Title: 9 STAR Headliner Moneyliner |
Loss |
I really love this Navy team this season & what they've accomplished thus far in the 2015-16 campaign. But most of all, they're consistent by ruling the clock and the game in the trenches. Their only slip up still stands as a 41-24 loss to Notre Dame. They managed to rush for 318 yards on the ground but lost due to losing the turnover war 3-1 (also their only time this season). That game stands in between them & an undefeated season. Houston with new HC Tom Herman has a nice team but has over-achieved against a bunch of under-achievers this season. Memphis had this team beat in Houston and let one slip away in the 4th quarter. I don't believe the Naval Academy let's that happen today. This team doesn't beat themselves as witnessed by holding a GIANT turnover edge over their opponents this season @ 21-6! They've won by over 3 TD's their last 2 travelers against Memphis & Tulsa. I feel the Navy blueprints have been laid for them by watching the Cougars 4 TO's in last week's loss to UConn. Play the Navy fight song now since they'll be a legitimate Top 15 & possible Top 10 team before this season is over. They'll be no looking ahead to Army as we take a trip to ole' John O'Quinn Field @ Robertson Stadium to play the Navy Midshipmen as my 9 Star Headliner Moneyliner!

Missouri vs. Arkansas (NCAAF) - 2:30 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Point Spread: -14.0/-103 Arkansas Pick Title: 9 Star Friday Chalk Talker |
Win |
This Arkansas squad can score & has gotten stronger offensively as the season progressed. They do run into one of the better teams defensively with Missouri, but that defense will certainly get tired here after too many three-and-outs by a struggling "O". I believe my rookie-on-the-road QB system kicks in here with Drew Lock (3/6 TD/INT ratio) finding it difficult to call signals or consistently find a rhythm among the Fayetteville faithful & partisan crowd. They'll be much different circumstances this time around from last year's 21-14 Mizzou' win that vaulted them into the SEC title game. The Razorbacks' QB Brandon Allen is RED HOT right now putting up 103 points & throwing for 848 yards against the state on Mississippi (Ole' Miss & Mississippi State) the past 3 games. This team is the best 6-5 squad in CFB & have just 2 TO's in their last 4 games & only 9 on the season.. In contrast, the Tigers have turned it over 6 times their last 3 games alone & 16 times on the year. Are you ready? I'm certainly ready to watch the Arkansas Razorbacks execute revenge in getting the cover @ Razorback Stadium (but buy to -13 1/2) as my 9 Star Friday Chalk Talker!

Baylor vs. TCU (NCAAF) - 7:30 PM EST |
Premium Play |
Pick: Point Spread: 0.0/-110 TCU Pick Title: 8 Star Walking Wounded Survivor |
Win |
While both teams have had their share of key injuries, I believe T.C.U. has the motivation, revenge & enough talent left to put enough points on the board to grab the "W" here. The Horned Frogs would be undefeated if it didn't face the state of Oklahoma (0-2, losses to Oklahoma & Oklahoma State). However, it's been a different tune against their fellow Texas universities. They come into this tussle with an unblemished 4-0 SU record intrastate. In a game which will prove to be a (I'll borrow the old adage) "wild & wooly" one, I feel HC Gary Patterson's Purple People have the lasting power that eventually slows down the Bears' offense witha 3rd-string QB on their off surface. They won't be running 109 plays this year. I'm set to go to Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth to play the T.C.U. Horned Frogs as Friday Night Delight & 8 Star Walking Wounded Survivor!
