Thankyou neil
Do you see alot of points in this game or will it be more of a brawl in your opinion
Thanks for input uncle vito. Have not put a lot of thoughts into it yet but here is my take
Heels can put up points against any defense, this year squad is even more equipped to do so than LY. The Cocks had a very bad defense, ranked #91 in scoring defense.
Cocks offense was great but who will throw the ball TY? Dylan Thompson was a 4-years player with the Cocks so he was quite familiar with the offense. Connor Mitch is in his first year and has attempted only 6 passes, so Spurrier is going to run the ball..... a lot of them with a good RB in B. Wilds to shorten the game. Can the Cocks do it with an OL that lost 3 starters and no one is scared of the passing game, at least not early in the season, so the defense will stack up 7 men in the box? Unless Heels defense can improve greatly, they were very susceptible to the run game, allowing a whopping 240 ypg and ranked #120 in the nation. Heels were also ranked in triple digits in allowing big rushing plays. So the Cocks certainly have a great chance to score some big plays with their running game or short passes.
If these two teams met late last year they would have put up in the high 80's. Historically the Defense does not improve greatly in first game but these two head coaches are determined to improve it.
I know the O/U is pretty high, 63 pts, but I would not touch the Under in this game.
A note here: these two defenses are no where near the caliber of the teams that met in 2013.
