2 teamer (both ML) pays just over 2-1...
First, STANFORD at cal. Take Stanford. Cardinal have had horrible luck this year with turnovers (especially fumbles) and that is a big reason why they have struggled. Yes Stanford's offense has looked anemic at times this year, but the cal defense is HORRIBLE. Stanford's o-line that began the season very young now has 10 games under it's belt, they will run the ball, hogan will have time to hit rector/montgomery stanford won't drop 50, but they WILL move the ball, and they WILL score. Cal on the other hand, won't get shut out, but they will not go off for 40 points. look at the UCLA game. Cal did not move the ball very well in that game, UCLA had multiple turnovers setting up short fields for cal (18, 20, and 32 yard TD drives) Cal was getting blown off the field at USC, trojans take their foot off the gas, cal scores some points late to grab the back door cover. Go to the Wash/Cal game, 7 points. Point I am trying to make, Cal's high flying offense struggles against the better defenses, and Stanford will be the best defense cal has faced all year. Motivation will not be an issue for the cardinal as they are fighting for a bowl game, against a rival, in a rivalry nicknamed "the big game" Stanford wins this game.
Second, USC ML @ UCLA. This one is a little more tricky, but the trojans will get the W here. SC has the more talented roster, better offensive/defensive lines, and honestly go check the numbers, they have better quarterback play. Hundley gets knocked around every single game and this one won't be an exception, look for big leonard williams of the SC front #94 to wreak havoc in that backfield. SC doesn't blitz much, they get solid pressure with their front four, and going up against an o-line that can't protect their quarterback this will be a recipe for disaster for the UCLA offense. SC wins the line of scrimmage in this game, SC has the better passing attack, SC has the better talent, SC wins. UCLA has underwhelmed all season long with six of their wins coming by a combined 33 points. SC on the other hand has their three losses by a combined 13 points, one of which came via hail mary. Yes colorado/cal have god awful defenses but Kessler/the receiving corps appear to be hitting their stride and the talent/explosiveness/trench advantages will lead to a trojans victory.
Fade/follow/whatever good luck to everybody lets enjoy these last couple weekends of the regular CFB season!!!!
