Bruno is running away with the series and proves to be NO match for anyone

I didn't know this was a competition. I should buy a pick from a pro :)

You guys say they shouldn't require money back, but you don't offer an alternative except to say don't buy if you don't want the risk. I don't get it. Why would you care?

Very few of those disagreeing buy picks...bruno when was the last time you paid for a pick? I don't and haven't bought picks in over ten years and even then it was a consensus site run by one of the owners here and that was because I ran a book and wanted to know what everyone was picking so I could adjust my lines accordingly.

In this case, the day before and the day of the GOY advertisement one of the site owners made a post WARNING people NOT to buy the GOY pick unless they were fully understanding that it was likely to lose and that they would be ok with it. THAT RIGHT THERE TELLS ME THERE IS IMAGE PROBLEM WITH GOY PICKS LOSING. Else why else would they care if/who/why/what bought.

I'm simply saying that IF you want to protect your reputation from the 'salesmen' as has been alleged on here (and is apparently a concern re: the warning post) then put a price on the pros who want to offer GOY/M. Right now the pro could run one everyday (and this too has been widely discussed) and why not, its just a cash cow. So I say, as a site owner who makes money off these marketing gimmicks and who might be worried about the reputation that could impact his whole site,  (enough so to make a post warning people about buying it) then find a resolution -- allow any pro to post a GOY/M as often as they like, but make it money back. Folks would this make me buy - no. Shoudl it make anyone buy more - no. Should it slow the pros down and make them think more about offering it versus just a regular play. YES.

Again, while this is fun, I don't buy, haven't bought and won't buy from a 'pro'. I'd rather barter my insights with someone else on here building relationships. Now, i'm going to go back to my own business so if you choose to disagree feel free to do so. but know that opinions are not fact and they are just as disputable as whether or not LSU was the right pick before the game played or whether or not the site will suffer from people who go 0-2 on GOY picks with high volume.

i don't buy picks, only time is when they gave away the $25, but i must say, anytime one of these threads comes up, spartan and essler are always here fighting for their reputations.....if i was a buyer, they'd be my choices.  i follow dave on twitter, you can't be that emotional if your own cash isn't on the line

wasnt going to get involved but people brought up some good points so im going to chime in. first off if a thread and a glitch in the system was any indication of how this was going to play out people would of been smart and backed off. my friend who is a college football fanatic wanted to know what the play was naturally i found it and told him LSU. he almost jumped thru the phone and said that the only way he would play that would be in a 10 point tease. we all know the outcome but here is the thing he will buy plays once in a blue if people GUARANTEE something. he bought a parlay play just bc stu jordan (whoever that is) GUARANTEED if the parlay did not hit he would give him free picks for a year. the only point you can make against that is who would keep following a tout who just lost you a guaranteed parlay. well when you look at his LONG TERM record the guy actually does pretty good and you can go back months and months and look at all of his picks. point being is that my friend gets the plays now everyday and does his own research if he likes it he bets it if not then he lays off but making ppl pay a ridiculous amount of money for one days worth of picks w no guarantee is awful customer service

madman brought up a good point as well if VR makes a bunch of money selling plays how much of his own $ is actaully on the line? the only problem is i believe the rest of the picks won or if you used "proper money management" you came out ahead BIG DEAL long term alot of these guys selling picks are losers but since they are respected names will keep them around and lose more of peoples money. and whre has VR been? has he even replied since saturday?

I went to the store the other day and took a chance buying something I never had and it tasted like shit, So I didn't  go back to the store and ask for a refund,  I tossed it in the trash

If i were to pay $25 to $50 for a GOY and i loose a dime or more ... Do you really think it would make me happy if they returned my money or gave me free picks ? Like i said in my earlier post here . If you are buying picks from anyone and blindly playing them with no research on your own ... You will loose a ton of money .

Do the pro's advertise their play with a money back guarantee? You people need to realize that selling picks is a business, once you buy the product, caveat emptor.. They aren't forcing you to play anything hence no money back guarantee..
